Looks like we are ok for the journey out anyway. Just posted on RTE. "The National Implementation Body proposed a two-week period for management and individual unions to itemise all their grievances and concerns. The parties will reconvene at Government Buildings on 28 November and the NIB will try to issue settlement proposals by 3 December."

You're probably right. I'm a bit too much of a luddite to move on from emacs. C-x C-s is wired into my nervous system (always entertaining results in Word). At least I'm not as fuddy as vi-Liam.

I hope its not dead. I think there's still some work happening but down to 1-ish release a year. Having said that I am running v21.1 on this PC and it's great. Aquamacs on OS X is brilliant and still in active dev.

Yep I know it wasn't mandatory to go on the trip, but it did seem mandatory to do a pitch on the Tuesday afternoon. In any case it was worth getting out of bed. The training was interesting, loads of tips on cultural gaps between here and there. David Taber seemed very knowledgeable and everyone got insightful feedback on their pitches. The Limerick crowd were there in force.
